Using a stop watch, Tom measured the time for a car to pass through 2 streetlights. The reading was 1.2 s. If the reaction time of tom is 0.2 s, what is the maximum possible percentage error of his measurement?

Ans: 33.3%

There are two reaction times, the first one is the reaction to start the stop watch and the second is the reaction to stop the stop watch. Hence the total maximum raction time is 0.2 + 0.2 = 0.4s
The maximum possible percentage error = 0.4/1.2 * 100% = 33.3%
