Maths. 4x=1/8, what's x?

4x = 1/8

Then x = (1/8)/4

==> x = 1/32

1/8/4=1/8*1/4=1/32=0.03125

you can divide a fraction by a number by multiplying it with its reciprocal, cheers

4x = 1/8
x = (1/8)/4
x = (1/8)(1/4)
x = 1/32

1/32

1/32

x = 1/32

1/32 Divide 1/8 by 4 which would give you the answer.

4x=1/8
(4x)/4=(1/8)/4
x=1/32

4x = 1/8 multiply both sides by 8
32x = 1 divide both sides by 32
x = 1/32

Divide each side by 4 to get the x alone...

x = (1/8) / 4

Then you need to multiply the 8 by 4 and keep them in the denominator..

so,

x = 1/32...
