但這裏的make，意思其實是”使”

最後make這字很特別，跟著它的要用沒有to的原形動詞(bare infinitive)，除了is made (to infinitive)外

你的理解初步正確，但留心made係past tense，一般而言，這個made字有製造的意思，所以這句英文在外國人的語法中借用了這個特性。

如果係正式翻譯是：
我父親造就我成為一位醫生。

未必是他叫我去做醫生，也不一定是他逼我去做醫生，而是正面地多謝老豆，係因為佢過往(應該做了些嘢)我今日成為了醫生。

假如說他逼我成為一個醫生都可以用類同的字，如下：
My father made me to become a doctor.

其實原句亦最好有My，雖然好似係人都「只有」一個老豆。

made.x.to 加起來便是逼x的意思，所以要加多個字become[成為]才能連貫me和doctor之間的關係。

例句：
My mother made me to play the piano for 2 hours everyday.
