Answer : Andy went on a trip to Australia with his friend last summer.
go on a trip
Do you want to go on the school trip to France this year?
Apart from go on, you can also use take and have. They have the same meaning.
Some verbs used with trip:
be (away) on, go on, make, take | have | come back from, return from | be back from | arrange, organize, plan | book | cancel | extend | cut short | enjoy.
Don't use go for. It is used with picnic.
go on a picnic = go for a picnic = have a picnic
Let's have a picnic down by the river.
Goodbye!
