Reason:shopping---------before the last letter p , the letter is o.
trapping---------before the last letter p , the letter is a.
When the second last letter of the verb is vowel, we need to double the last letter when +ing.
Except:
eat--------eating-----but the second last letter is a .
It is because the letter before a is e, so we do not need to double the last letter when +ing.
