A beam AB of weight 200N and length 4m are supported by two wooden
frames . a girl of weight 400N stands on the beam 1m from A. find the
reaction forces exerted by the two frames.

I presume that the wooden frames are at the two ends of the beam.

At equilibrium, upward forces = downward forces
F(A) + F(B) = (200 + 400) N = 600 N
where F(A) and F(B) are the reaction exerted by the frames at A and B respectively

Taking moment about A,
F(B) x 4 = 200 x 2 + 400 x 1
i.e. F(B) = 200 N

Hence, F(A) = (600 - 200) N = 400 N
