How to solve it:-

If Px(x + 2) &equiv; 2x^2 - Qx +R, find the value of P + Q + R.

Please show the steps. Thx. a lot.

L.H.S.= Px(x + 2)
=Px2+2Px

Camparing L.H.S and R.H.S. the like terms,we have
P=2________________________(1)
2P=-Q______________________(2)
R=0________________________(3)
Subst. (1) into(2),we have
2(2)=-Q
Q=-4

P + Q + R=2+(-4)+0
=-2
