關於" 在樹上" 的英文說法，之前有大大回答過，我覺得他說明的很詳細， 提供您作參考:


中文裡的"在樹上"在英文中至少有六個相等語，詳細條列如下:

1. in the tree: 只要是在一棵樹的樹枝及樹葉涵蓋範圍內都用 in the tree。英文中的in有在某物體所包含的範圍當中的意思，樹的主幹、樹枝及樹葉所形成的區域範圍稱為in the tree。

英文中的樹屋可以稱為a tree house，也可以稱為a house in the tree，因為樹屋大多都會建構一棵樹的主幹和枝幹之間。

2. in the trees: 在好幾棵樹的樹枝及樹葉涵蓋範圍內都用in the trees。

"Caught In the Trees"(困在樹上)是西雅圖出身的歌手Damien Jurado的成名曲。
The monkeys are swinging and playing in the trees.描述的是猴子們在樹與樹之間玩耍擺動。

3. in the tree top: 在樹的最頂端，且一棵樹通常只有一個最高點。

2008年十月暢銷歌曲排行榜上有一首Guy Mitchell唱的歌叫 "Sparrow in the Treetop"(樹梢上的麻雀)非常的受歡迎。

4. on the tree: 在樹枝的末端，也就是所謂的樹梢，一棵樹可以有多個樹梢。英文中的on有物體表面的意思，樹的最外圍表面通常是由樹枝尖端或樹葉所形成。

版大所提出的A kite is stuck on the tree.就是指風箏卡在樹枝尖端，可以是指一棵樹的任何樹梢。當然，如果風箏卡在樹枝的深處，可以說成A kite is stuck in the tree。

5. on the trees: 在很多棵樹的樹梢上。

In autumn, the leaves on the trees change colors.秋天時，樹上的葉子會變色(很多樹都會變色)。
"Nothin' Shakin' (But the Leaves on the Trees)"(樹上只有葉子在動)是Eddie Fontaine所寫的一首歌。
The Birds on the Trees是1970年時Nina Bawden所寫的書。

6. on trees: 在樹的表面上

俗語說“Money doesn’t grow on trees.”(錢不長在樹上)言下之意，賺錢很辛苦要省著花。


over the tree ：over 意為 超越，或在~的上方(不接觸)。

"在樹上"有兩種表示法:
on the tree: 指花果本身就已生長在樹上.
in the tree: 指其他物棲息在樹上.
而over the tree: 指鳥類或飛機飛越過樹梢, 且不碰及樹木本身.

over the tree
或許可譯成 越過樹梢
以此與 在樹上 區別

over the tree 是 在樹的上面,和樹有一段距離
on the tree是在樹上

在樹上是on the tree.

over the tree的意思是在樹的上方。

如：My book is on the desk. 我的書在桌上。
如果你說：My book is over the desk 的話，就是說你的書在桌子的上方，也就是浮在空中的意思，除非是有人拿著， 不然就是靈異事件了(開個玩笑)

所以over就是在......上方的意思，跟該物體沒有接觸。
