(a) Let y=A(x-3/2)(x+1/2)y=A(x^2-x-3/4)=(A/4)(4x^2-4x-3)=0
Sub. x=0=>-3A/4=9=<A=-12
So y=-12x^2+12x+9
(b) y=-12x^2+12x+9=-12(x-1/2)^2+12
So the vertex is (1/2,12)
