In a supermarket , the marked price of a bottle of milk is $ 6 . If a customer buys 3 bottles , he can get an extra bottle for free . What is the discount per cent ?

Jim paid $ 800 for a ticket to a concert at a student discount of 20 % .

a) What was the marked price of Jim's ticket ?

b) Kerry also bought a ticket to the concert with the same marked price and student discount . However , Kerry got an extra 10 % off the selling price because she belonged to a fan club . At what overall discount per cent did Kerry buy her ticket ?

(1) 標價為每瓶六元，四瓶付三瓶的標價，
即四瓶要付3*6 = 18元，
原價則為4*6 = 24元
折扣百分比 = (24 - 18)/24 * 100% = 25%
(2)(a) 折扣百分比為20%
折扣後實付800元，原標價 = 800 / (1-20%) = 1000元
(b) 除原來的學生優惠折扣20%外，Kerry額外享有歌迷會百分之十的售價再折扣，所以她實付原價的(1 - 20%)*(1 - 10%) = 72%
實享折扣優惠百分比 = 1 - 72% = 18%

1.在超市內,1樽牛奶的原價是$6.

a)占的門票原價是多少?
b)嘉莉同樣以8折買了演唱會的學生門票.

2a) 800 / (1 - 20%) = $1000
2b) 80% * 90% = 72%

　　　　　b)嘉莉總共以72折來買她的門票.
