How do you factorize the following? 7a²-8ab?
回答 (9)
'a' is the only term in common.
so
a(7a - 8b) is the final possible factorization.
= a(7a - 8b)

Look for common factors 7a^2 means 7xaxa , -8ab means -1x8xaxb , so a multiplies both terms , a(7a - 8b) , means the two factors are a and the bracket.
7a^2-8ab
Factor out the GCF of a from each term in the polynomial.
a(7a)+a(-8b)
Factor out the GCF of a from 7a^2-8ab
a(7a-b)
7a^2 - 8ab
= a(7a) - a(8b)
= a(7a - 8b)
