randomly selected. Twenty-five of them expressed the view that there has
been unfair treatment concerning workload between male staff and
female staff.
a Test whether the claim of those employees is justified or not using
α = 0.01.

✔ 最佳答案
(a) H0: p_0 = 0.6 H1: p_0 < 0.6

p=25/45=0.5556

Test-statistic
=| (0.5556-0.6)/√[(0.6)(0.4)/45] |
=0.6070
<2.3263

So, do not reject H0 and conclude that there is no evidence to reject that at least 60% of all the employees in the corporation have the view that there has been unfair treatment concerning workload between male staff and female staff.

(b)
the p-value is P(Z<-0.607)=0.2715. Since 0.2715 > 0.01, do not reject H0 and conclude that there is no evidence to reject that at least 60% of all the employees in the corporation have the view that there has been unfair treatment concerning workload between male staff and female staff.
