Postgraduate Degree

Taught postgraduate degree is course-based. It is like undergraduate studies. Students will attend the class, submit coursework or attend exam in order to get a pass.
Research postgraduate degree is research-based. Students conduct their own researches during their studies under the supervision of supervisors.
Research degree is more academic.

To be exactly correct, a Taught program will not have a formal research requirement. But it will be mandatory for research program.

This does not include any research you have to do in a project.
