取消加拿大居留權手續

已取得加拿大楓葉咭，但已過期，亦不打算前往定居，現在是否需要向加拿大政府辦理任何取消居留權手續?

Very simple, send the expired Maple Card to CIC in Canada, notifiedthem that you no longer wantto renew your permanent residence,then your residence will run out and you will no longerbe Canadian Residence.

如果不辦理，會有什麼後果﹖

usually, nothing will happen, in case if you plan on visiting Canada sometime later,they may ask you what happened to your residence. Then they will let you though, cos it is your choice not to live in Canada. Not that they force you to leave......They won't do anything
