Solve an equation? HELP PLEASE?

Expanding: 2x+6 - 4 = 12 + x - 3

Collecting the x's on one side:

2x - x + 2 = 9

x = 9 - 2

x = 7

2(x + 3) – 4 = 12 + (x - 3)

Expand the equation

2x + 6 - 4 = 12 + x - 3

2x + 2 = x + 9

x = 7

2x + 2 = x + 9
2x - x = -2 + 9
