Explain the following situation:
When calcium and lead add on sulphuric acid, the bubble firstly forms quickly, but the reaction stops suddenly.

Calcium and lead first reacts with the sulphuric acid, hydrogen(if it is a dilute acid) and calcium/lead sulphate is produced. Both calcium sulphate and lead sulphate are insoluble in water. Therefore, the insoluble calcium/lead sulphate produced coated on the surface of calcium/lead which prevent further reaction and the reaction stops suddenly.
