"Did You" and "DUal"

When you pronounce "diD YOU" (the capital part), is the pronounciation exactly the same as "DUal" (the captial part of the word)?

So there are two steps, you touch the upper palate for the "D" first, and then you make the "you" sound, and together, it sounds like "jill", kind of without touching the upper palate for the "ll" part.
In other words, it sounds exactly the same as "Did jill" except the "ll" part not touching the upper palate. Thank you very much if you can clarify, I really want to make my pronounciation perfect.
Thanks!

well, lemme clarify it. the combination of D and Y is J. it means when you want to pronounce DID YOU? you should say dij you? or dijoo?
the combination of T and Y is CH. i mean, we pronounce that you as thach you or thachya.
but you should keep that it mind, you should not necessary pronouce in this way. it is actually spoken.
i hope this help

if you were speaking British English you would pronounce DUal like diD YOU, but in America, Canada, and other places, you would pronounce dual as doo- uhl.
