1/3 is the equilvilant to 2/6. 2/6 + 1/6 = 3/6 which is a 1/2 (half)-

Find the two same denomenators the bottom number, by X number so 3 x 2 = 6. So whatever you do to the bottom number must be done to the top number 1 x 2 = 2. So its 2/6 + 1/6 so you add them together and simplify it. :P

all you have to do is add 1/3 to 1/6 and 1/3 = 2/6 so the answer will of course be 3/6 or simplified to 1/2 (Half)

1/3 = 2/6 because 1/3 is double of 1/6

EG: 1/2 = 50% where 1/4 = 25%

2/6 + 1/6 = 3/6 = 1/2

1/3 + 1/6

Change the 1/3 into 2/6 by multiplying 2/2 to get the same denominator ‒ 6:
= (1 x 2)/(3 x 2) + 1/6
= 2/6 + 1/6
= 3/6
= 1/2

Its (2/6)+(1/6)= 3/6 = 1/2.

1/3 + 1/6 = (2+1)/6 = 3/6 = 1/2

It's been a while since i've done maths so here goes.

first you have to find a comon denominator: 3 x 6 =18

so 1/3 + 1/6 can be written as 3/18 + 6/18

the answer being : 9/18

simplified down to : 1/2

Cross multiplication. (6 x 1 + 3 x 1)/18
