It is not a foregone conclusion that they will *get* anyone else. Players and their agents are likely fielding multiple offers and where a player ends up depends on different factors. Maybe none of those that have been mentioned (or others for that matter) want to play in Seattle or will get what they consider to be a better choice to go elsewhere.

Hmmmm im thinkin Rich Harden.

Man are they gonna be ALOT better next year.
If there was a award for "comeback team of the year"
I think they would probably get it. :]]

i'd desire to make certain them snagging up sheets, yet because of the fact it variety of sounds like he's not gonna get signed earlier the season in any case, they're going to probable wait till the season starts off and sign him for airborne dirt and mud decrease priced mid-season

Chone Figgins will hopefully to sign with the Mariners anytime soon.

Marlon Byrd might be the obvious choice rumors reports Jason Bay is looking elsewhere along with John Lackey and Rich Harden

I read that they are interested in Nick Johnson, so maybe him. They need another starting pitcher, so maybe Harden. They got a lot of money to work with, maybe they can even get Jason Bay

Of those four, Harden is the most likely, with Lackey, Bay, and Byrd following in order. A pitcher is probably next on the front office's list, and Harden is apparently interested in playing in Seattle and will cost far less than Lackey. I think the bidding on Lackey will get too high for the M's, though it would be nice to steal away two of the Angels' best players. Bay apparently would love to play in Seattle, but his bat is a poor fit for the park and his defense is very bad, going against Zduriencik and co's emphasis on defense. I haven't heard Byrd connected to the M's in any way.

Other than the ones you mentioned, their next moves might include signing Nick Johnson, re-signing Russell Branyan, or trading for Ryan Doumit of the Pirates, who is from Washington, is a switch-hitter, and can play multiple positions.
