(A) 一句最簡單的句子: subject + verb

e.g. I am crying. ( I - subject + am crying - verb)

如果verb 是 transitive verb (及物動詞), 後要接上 object

e.g. Jason has finished his homework.

(Jason - subject + has finished - verb + his homework - object)

(B) 名詞 - Noun : 任何人或物之名稱的統稱

e.g. Jason, paper, English, bottle, air, water etc.

(C) 形容詞 - Adjective : 用作修飾名詞

e.g. a beautiful girl, a long question, a short story

(D) 動詞 - Verb : 一些表示動作的詞 (一般分為transitive verb 及物動詞和
Intransitive verb 不及物動詞)

In (A), the verb 'cry' is Intransitive verb, no object is needed.

(E) e.g. I hlep clean the table.

在 help 的後面要用 'bare infinitve without to', 一般兩個動詞不能并列,例如
'Judy wants to do the housewrok for her',
'wants 和 'do' 中必須加 'to'

基本 句子結構 有五種:

1. S+V..............Time / flies.

2. S+V+SC.......My father / is / a doctor.

3. S+V+O.........Tom / borrowed / my pencil.

4. S+V+IO+DO..Mother / bought / me / a shirt.

5. S+V+O+OC...Tom / named / his dog / -Bobby-.

S=subject.
V=vi or vt.
O=object.
SC=subject complement.
IO=indirect object.
DO=direct object.
OC=object complement.

當然還有adj/adv/conj/tense/phrase/clause很多很多, 多了解文法便有成績.
