i met him online, we;ve been together for 7 yrs and have 2 kids together

I've met people various ways over the years...one of the more common ways has been online. I met my lover at work though. ☺♥☻ You never know where your next "special person" might turn up.

I met my partner not at work, and definitely not online. lol. Oh I did not meet her in a bar either. I met her casually. I would recommend to get to know someone and go from there. common ways are in bars and clubs. There are some people here who have met and stayed with their partners since high school. ok. If you are not in high school. I would recommend getting to know someone first. I somehow dont recommend online and i havent tried it.

We were in the same college. We met once through a mutual friend. And after that i always made a point of smiling at her and saying hi in the halls or on nights out.

We started talking one night in a club and hit it off, we were friends for about a month after that night (hanging out and going to the cinema/pub etc) then one night we were in her apartment and i gave her a peck on the cheek, next thing i know we were kissing and moving towards the bedroom. That was 3 and a half years ago, now we are both finished college and living together.

I would advise them to become friends first, then see about taking it further. It makes it all less awkward i think. Plus its more meaningful when you do get together.

I have to say that I ain't very fond of the word 'partner' in that particular sense, 'cos it sounds sexually suggestive to me, and quite frankly, bloody disgustin'! However, back to the point in hand: I met MY girlfriend down our local pub. We were dancin' with each other, I asked her for a kiss. We kissed, we carried on kissin' ALL BLOODY NIGHT, and we've been together ever since! That was WELL over a year ago, and we've actually been LIVIN' TOGETHER since early January of last year. I love Jan's chat-up line, by the way- that rocks! Peace and love! Be lucky! :)
