1.The average of 2 consecutive even numbers is 29.What are these two consecutive even numbers?

Let the numbers be a and a + 2
Average = (a + a + 2)/2 = a + 1 = 29
Therefore a = 28
The 2 numbers are 28 and 30

Let the samller number be x
∴The larger number is (x+2)
[x+(x+2)]over2=29
2x+2 =29*2
2x =58-2
x =56/2
x =28
Let the samller number is28
∴The larger number is (28+2)=30
