Explain why tissue fluid will accumulate in the body if proteins can pass into
urine in the kidneys when the kidney is deficient.

An increase level of proteins pass through the kidneys will result in a low level of albumin (a type of protein). One of the functions of albumin is to maintain the oncotic pressure in the vascular system. A low level of albumin will case fluids leak out to the surrounding space causing edema.
