未選答案前先講講 CONJUNCTION.英文單詞可分十類，其中一類是連詞 Conjunction。
連接單詞與單詞、短語與短語或句子與句子的詞。
根據所連接的項目是否「平等」，連詞可分兩種：
1. 對等連詞 Coordinate Conjunction
例如：and, or, but, as well as, not only...but also,...
2. 從屬連詞 Subordinate Conjunction
例如：because, if, after, before, as soon as,...
但要注意, 雖然 as well as 和 and 都是對等連詞, 但其實仍有些微分別的, as well as卻只可以看為附帶說明，所以和主詞連用，卻不屬片語的一部份，因此句中的動詞 "be" 只需對應 The driver, 所以用 singular 才正確.
因此這裡只有 3. 是正確的

As well as 是including, in additional to 的意思.
Driver and passengers 是眾數, 所以2 and 4 are correct.
4比較常用.
