PARENTS: If your son / daughter was friends with a kid who smoked Marijuana, would you tell the smoker's paren?

I'm sorry, but for my own kid's sake I wouldn't.

I'm not a parent, but I'm 16. I know people in my school that smoke weed at least 10 times a week, and my parents have warned me not to get into that and I haven't. And precisely because I know that those people would do terrible things if they found out that someone told on them, I wouldn't. They have their ways o finding out, TRUST ME. I KNOW. And I wouldn't risk my kids life. As long as my kid knows that doing that is wrong and never does it, i wouldn't get involved.

hell no, that's none of your business. I would b so mad. I can't stand when people get into things that have nothing to do wit them. I don't think its dangerous, or hurtin anyone. Watch ur own child, I suppose, perhaps a athome drug test? But keep it at that, that's my opinion.. I hope I didn't sound rude :/

i have a few GREAT mates that smoke weed.
my parents know and i would hate it if they told their parents.

it will destroy my friendship with them and plus as if they would really want me to hang out with them after..

and what if they do one bad thing and they get into trouble off police or something like that.. their first thought will be that my parents told.

i love mates and they love me back, i respect them and what they do. as do my parents.

No. I'm not here to get other kids in trouble with their parents. If he is obvious about it I would warn him that I would tell his parents, but not actually, unless he doesn't quit being so open about it. But in that case his parents would probably know already. His age and maturity would also affect my decision though. If he were younger than 13 or so I would probably tell his parents.

if i didnt know the parent personaly then i wouldnt, but i would make sure my child knew not to ever smoke that.

Honestly you're never going to get a consensus about an issue like this. Marijuana is less addictive then tobacco. If it were tobacco I would tell the parents but since marijuana seldom has any harm to the lungs and in fact might ironically be beneficial to his/her health. It is being tested to see if it can help to get rid of cancer (its a long shot) but there are still more benefits it can have the benefits of morphine without the addictiveness.

Me and my daughter have a very strong bond she shares everything with me sometimes its more information than i want to know so i would never go and tell her friends parents something that personal that was shared with me in private,i also support the legalization of Marijuana so i see nothing wrong with weed. It's liquor i feel is more of a danger.

It would depend on the situation. If the parents were strangers to me then no. If I knew the parents I wouldnt jump down their throat but I would bring it up to at least let them know if they didnt alrdy.

If I was a parent, then I would. Beside, imagine what would happen if MY kid got dragged into their little habit? I wouldn't want that to happen..
