We see that from the left square.

The two resistors are short-circuited.

So, actually, we don't need to calculate those two resistors.

And so, we just need to consider the right two resistors, they are connected in parallel.

So, the equivalent resistance

= (1/8 + 1/8)^-1

= 4 ohms

Answer: C
