family violence-what can be done to stop /prevent family violence?

Well, that is hard one. If people in family are violent to each other, they surely have a lot of fear and anger in themselves which they emit on others. The problem is, they probably don't realize what are they doing, because they are blinded by their own rage. It is difficult to help them change their will, because they are the ones, who have to want the change. If they are forced, their anger could escalate even more. So the whole problem is to find a way to change their minds preferably by the peaceful way. But are they capable of change? Will they understand? This has to be clear before any action, because any attempt can have bad consequences. If the kids are beaten, that's a serious crime and it should be told to the police or to social work to prevent later beating. The parents might strike again if a child would try to enlighten them alone, because in their eyes the child has to be submissive and not to be telling parents his ideas.
