45 is the numerator
12 is the denominator

divide the numerator by the denominator

45 divided by 12 = 3 with a remainder of 9

9 over 12 is .75 or 3 quarters

your answer is 3.75

Well you divide 45 by 12 and you get 3 with a remainder of 9, so it would be 3 9/12 which you would simplify to 3 3/4

45/12 by long division =3 and remainder 9
so 45/12= 3 9/12 =3 3/4

45/12= 3 9/12=3 3/4

45/12 = 3 3/4.
divide 12 into 45 to get 3 then the remainder is 9, so place the nine as the numerator of 9/12 and then reduce to get 3/4.

Here how's it worked:

1) 45/12 is simplify and become 15/4.

2) Then, 15 is devided by 4 and the answer is 3 with 3 as the remainder, therefore we then write it 3 3/4 as a mixed number.

*What I mean is, the answer should be write down first,(3)followed by the remainder(3) and lastly the number which u devide with(4).

Hope this will helps u...^^

45/12
= (36 + 9)/12
= 36/12 + 9/12
= 3 + 9/12
= 3 + 3/4
= 3 3/4

45/12 = 3 and 9/12 = 3 and 3/4

First find how many 12s are there in 45. There are 3 twelves in 45. Multiply 3 by 12. You will get 36. Minus this 36 from 45. You will get 9. So the mixed no is 3 9/12. To check whether it is right. Multiply the denominator with the no on the side and add the result with numerator. You will get the fractional no.
