Q1:請問美國既master degree讀幾年?

Cos UK have a honor system comes with their bachelor degree so they only need 1 year of study to geta Master Qualification. Under US System,honor degree is separated from the mainstream Bachelor, so to get a Master Degree in Course Work, you will need to study for 1.5 years with summer course, 2 years without.

Q2:香港政府承唔承認英國既碩士學位?

Technically, HK Government will not recgonise any Degree, it is not their hjob to recgonise, HK Government will recgonise local licening authority or professional community.

For example, If HK Government want to hire an Accountant, they will not decide it base on where is your degree from, instead, they will look at if you have HK's professional authority qualification (Such as HKICPA, ACCA in HK) Doesn't matter if your degree in study in HK, Australia, UK or mainland, as long as if you don't have the HKICPA or ACCA qualification, you will not be considered.

You should ask would HK forensic society recgonise UK degree, not the HK government....

Actually, US is not famous on studying in Criminology, cos most FBI/Police Criminologist is trained under Psychology (Usually require a Master of Psychology)

In FBI case, to be a crimologist in FBI you will need a MSc Psychology + BSU Training in the FBI academy. Master of Criminology is accepted but not as competitive as the former one.

If you still want to study in US, try Bond University.

It usually takes 2 years to complete study work for master degree.

There are schools in US offer degrees in forensic science. For example, the West Virginia University works together with FBI to offer an undergraduate degree.

In addition, there are other smaller universities offering degrees in Law Enforcement.
