normally, you can stay 3 months, after 3 months if you want to stay longer,then you need to apply for extension with good cause.

for SAMTSANGS, each time you in and exit USA, do you know your passport had been scaned in the customs check point?.
the law is ----- people can not illegal over stay more than 6 months in US, or it will be deny to entry on next 3 years.
nowaday is in high tech age, you think the US customs official is blind and stupid or has ropehole ...... keep try it.

Upon entry, the CBP can grant you in a maximum of 6 months of stay.

However, it depends on your purpose of your trip (and mostly the money you have and return ticket).

一般而言, 入境時不問你的話, 最長是90天.
非你要求或問你. 或你告訴他机票什麼時候離境, 否則肯定是90天. 但你曾超期或他明顯感覺你是想留美工作; 他們有權減縮居留期. 但這情況甚少.

不過美加都不理出境的, 即使給你30天, 你300天離境, 根本沒人理你, 祗要你假如過期出境時, 最好不乘飛機改乘車便100%沒事.

我每年進出美加超十數次, 從未試過蓋章少於90天離境. 但超90天, 也從未被問過, 乘車離去便是, 隔天再入, 完全沒事.

在美國雖沒有出境管制, 但乘飛機出境, 航空公司在CHECK-IN 時會向你收取入境卡, 會看到你愈期居留, 為免節外生枝, 最好乘車到加拿大或墨西哥,遊玩 1-2天後再堂堂正正再入境, 或在加拿大/墨西哥轉机回香港. 肯定你100%OK.
