They do buy their championships, in the form of payroll spent. They spend a TON OF MONEY on their players, who are ridiculously good. The best money can buy, coincidentally.
They buy ALL of their talent. A-rod: Bought. Mark Texiera: Bought. Jonny Damon: Bought. C.C. Sabathia: Bought. Nick Swisher: Bought. There are more but their only good player who wasn't bought is Derek Jeter
No they don't buy their championships. Why does everyone ask this? Most of their players are from their farm system: Derek Jeter, Jorge Posada, Andy Pettitte, Robinson Cano, Melky Cabrera, most of their bullpen pitchers, Austin Jackson, Juan Miranda, and Mariano Rivera. That is only a few of them. Besides, if they buy championships, why was this 2009 championship the first for them since 2000? Get real. If they buy championships, they would be getting them every year.
JEFF! YOUARE JUST ONE OF MANY JEALOUS AND BITTER PEOPLE WHO ARE ANGRY BECAUSE YANKEES ARE TOP FRANCHISE IN ALL OF SPORTS!! WITH 27 TITLES!! GET OVER IT, MAN!!
The Yankees were not given the World Series trophy at the begining of the season. They played baseball all season like all the rest of the teams. Turns out, they were the best team this year and deserved that trophy regardless of their payroll. If you were a real baseball fan, you would accept that and be excited for next season, instead of trying to take away what the Yankees have earned.
Because the Yankees are good team. They won 40 American League Pennants and 27 World Series titles. The Yankees won the World Series in 1996, but two years later, they won 3 times in 1998, 1999, and 2000.
