What are Whig, Tory, Liberal and Conservative Parties?

In terms of UK politics Whigs are the old name and predecessors of the Liberal party.
The Tories are the Conservative party.

The Whigs is the old name for the Liberal Party and the Torys are the Conservative Party!

In the UK all parties are conservatives and only represent the rich,greedy,selfish,fat cats........Dam them to HELL...

Whig = Old fashioned name for a Tory/Conservative.

The whigs were the first LIBERAL party in British politics, the Tory party was the predecessor to the modern Conservative party. The Whigs were generally centre right, and the Tories were right (not far right) as liberalism didn't come to a head in politics until the 18th century, whereas these two parties existed from the mid 17th century.

Tories look after the Business class.
"Abolish Minimum wage,so the Business owners will pay people £1 an hour so the rich will get more money."

Labour look after the Working class.
" Tax Credits and Minimum wage helps the Working class, but that also takes more from the Business class."

Lib Dems look after the elderly and students.
"Lib Dems want Student cards, and want to invest more money in care homes"

But they have one thing in common, taking more rights from the British people and more rights to EU and Brussels.
