a sleeping child (sleeping is a participle)
working men and women (particple)

以上的說是分詞,點解係+ing呀?以上的好像變了adj一樣,不太明(文法)= =
那如果這樣,我想說一玩耍的小孩,不就是:a playing child嗎?

✔ 最佳答案
A participle is a verbal which is used as an adjective. 所以你說對了. 它們是adjective.
Participle 有
Present participle (active) - always ends with ing
e.g. calling

Past participle (passive) - usually ends in ed, d, t, n, or en.
e.g. called

Perfect participle (active) - always formed by prefixing the word (having) to the past participle
e.g. having called

你的兩個例子是Present participle, 所以用ing.

a playing child 是对的, 但很少聽到人這樣用.

Hope this helps..

1以上的說是分詞,點解係+ing呀?
verb+ing is 現在分詞。所以係ing.

2以上的好像變了adj一樣,不太明(文法)= =
for simple, but correct concept
a sleeping child= a child is sleeping
可以說睡眠中的小孩or睡眠的小孩
there are more examples, running , burning , walking, waiting , leaving.
all can work in this way

當一個 verb + ing 而用法像 adj, 就是 present participle tense.

verb-ing + noun = 在 [動詞] 的 [名詞]

a playing child is grammatically correct

Eg. a sleeping child 在睡覺的小孩

working men and women 在工作的男女

a barking dog 在吠的狗
參考: Me
