What are my Points good for?

Points and Levels are just a way to keep track of how active you have been. The more points you accumulate, the higher your level. As you attain higher levels, you'll also be able to contribute more to Yahoo! Answers - you can ask, answer, vote and rate more at every level

Get an answer chosen as best answer (10 points each) Receive a Thumbs up for your Best Answer 1 Point per thumbs up, up to 50 count
Vote your limit of unresolved questions each day (1 point each)only one vote per question, anyone at any level can vote.
You also get a point once a day for signing in
When you ask a question it costs 5 points, so it's better to answer
