help.... what can I use to send a large attachment on an email !!!?

Sending large files is easy with the right tools. Most email providers only allow up to 10mb including encoding of the email. Realistcally, 7.5mb max attachment size. Check out a large file transfer website to get the job done. If you want you can use my brothers site to send files up to 2GB,.. its free and you can use your existing email.

BTW 1.07gb is a lot of info to upload... it will take a while.

Yahoo has raised their limit to 25MB and also has an application that ties into a site that will allow 100MB transfers. A 1 GB file can't be transferred by any email service. They will not allow something that size. You must either split it or pay a large transfer site.

Burn it to a DVD and mail it.

My guess, some short of tool to send large files !

I've never heard of a mail provider that will allow GB attachments. That's not what emailing is all about anyway.

You have a few choices.

1) Join and upload the file to an online storage site (just google for online storage), which will almost certainly cost you money.
2) Burn a CD/DVD and send it.
3) Do a file transfer with an instant messenger, e.g. yahoo messenger, msn. skype or whatever. Obviously the recipient has to have the same program, be online, and be patient.

Using a splitter as suggested in the other answer is useless. You would need over 100 parts to send 1GB. Are you into uploading 100+ attachments to 100+ mails and your partner downloading and joining them?

You can try to use WinRAR to split the file into parts first.
