My customer has her deceased husbands voice message on her cell phone, she would like to save it somehow. Any way to do that? Computer? Thanks ahead of time!

plug the earphone output from the phone into the mic input or line-in on your computer. Play the message. Software used to record depends on what you have on your machine. I would use Roxio, as that's what I've been using to convert my old tapes and LP's to mp3.

There's a simple sound recorder built into Windows Vista that would probably do it as well.

-Start

-All programs

-Accessories

-Sound recorder

I'm sure XP or Windows 7 has something similar.

She just needs to make sure that she is going in and re-saving it. Voicemails are saved for usually around 21 days and then automatically deleted...but going in and resaving resets the save period.

If it is her cell phone and the service is Verizon. It's the carrier I use, so it is the only way I would know, save the message by hitting the 9 key and if she gets a new phone then it'll automatically be on the new phone.

參考: I have saved a lot of voicemail and voice messages.
