A piston is pushed into a cylinder of gas. Temperature unchanged. Book say:
pressure increase, molecular distance decrease, PE decrease, KE unchange, IE decrease.
May I ask : Where do the energy gone? In what other forms will the energy transfer to?

Based on your description, if the temperature remains unchanged, it shows that the cylinder is not insulated. The heat produced from gas compression (which is a mechanical work done) has been transferred to the environment.
