The graph of y = { x- [ (m+1) / 2] }^2 - { [ (m-1) / 2 ] } ^2 cuts the y-axis at (0,1) and its vertex is on the x-axis. Find the value of m.

put (0,1)into y={ x- [ (m+1) / 2] }^2 - { [ (m-1) / 2 ] } ^21={(0)-[m+1)/2]}^2-{[(m-1)/2]}^2
1=(M+1/2)^2-(M-1/2)^2
1=[(m^2+2m+1)-(m^2-2m+1)]/4
1=4m/4
4=4m
m=1
