想問
一般商業行為會有"成本"呢個概念
即係一分價錢,一分貨
咁呢個概念存在係軍隊上嗎?
Everything in the military is not free, it's either they lend it to you, or you have to pay for it.
Equipments in the US military are distributed according to your TO&E (Not your rank) Pulling rank will not get you anything.
TO&E Mean Table of Organisation and Equipment, which is another word what you are in the army. If you are a rifleman, you will get Rifleman equipment. If you are a crew operator, you will get those equipment, not more, maybe less....
If you want to get other TO&E equipment, you will need to file for it, or you can buy them youselve. But when you being separated or discharged, you will need to return all yours on loan equipment and you can keep (If apporiate) the stuff that you bought.
Military Equipment are manufactured in standardisation, all the equipment of all kind are of the same standard, you don't get different quality according to an equipment range.
All military must pass a general inspection and have apporiate label stick on before being used in the Military, and at any time, no-one will know who's the gear former owner, gear will be distributed in random, apart from uniform, most of the gear are second hand.
我問不少大陸朋友,佢地話軍隊中冇成本呢個概念
即係唔會有A貨,B貨,C貨的軍品出現(即係買到的軍品都係上等貨)
是真的嗎?
Actually, this assumption is incorrect, at least in US military.......
In US Military, standard is set to the lowest limit. That mean quality of the equipment is not a sole factor, but a combination of function, quality and price. Mostly, the stuff that US military is the least best (Not the best) and as long as they can achieve what the army desired them to, they will take the cheapest one over the more expensive one, abid from the higher quality..
都想問美軍的軍品(例如背包,軍服,槍械之類會唔會因"成本"呢個問題而做成品質不統一的情況出現嗎?)
No, equipment is in standard (Lowest acceptable standard) every equipment made and use are the same as other's in their own kind.
