The difference between the two terms is not distinct. "Oscillation" is a more generic term that refer to repeated to-and-fro motions or the like with a regular period. "Vibration" is commonly applied to mechanical systems, with regular or irregualar periods.

Hence, we would say the a guitar string vibrates (though oscillate could be used). But we would only say the oscillation of electric and magnetic fields in the electromagentic waves.
