Otherwise, you can consider working as photographer on cruise ships. You will be travelling along with your assigned ship, taking picture of passengers and editing prints.

I have actually taken both before. At my school, my photography class doesn't have us take pictures of ourselves. We get to take all kinds of different pictures for our projects. As for art, it was something that I really loved to do too. Like you, I was never very good at the art part, just design. But when I got in the class, I found that I could be good at both if I tried. But if I had to pick between the two, I would say photography. Because it is an art within itself, and the class projects give you a little more le-way for what you want to do. With the art class, you would have to follow certain guidelines. But in the end, it is up to you. I hope that I was a little help for you.
