y = (x - m)^2 - 1(a) when x = 0, y = 3
(0 - m)^2 - 1 = 3
m^2 - 4 = 0
(m - 2)(m + 2) = 0
m = 2 or m = -2
(b) if m > 0, then m = 2
y = (x - 2)^2 - 1
when y = 0
(x - 2)^2 - 1^2 = 0
(x - 1)(x - 3) = 0
x = 1 or x = 3
The x-intercepts are 1 and 3
