I go shopping is main clause, so go is a main verb.


Tony, who is a chef, works in a big restaurant.
Tony works in a big restaurant is main clause, so works is a main verb.


I know who is Peggy.
I know is main clause, so know is a main verb.


Therefore, you just need to justify which sentence is main clause then you can find the main verb.
