No there is not usually a waiting time before you are allowed to get contacts. Many people get them when they first have a prescription

Everyone's eyes lose their power over time, but some people much faster than others. It may be genetic or due to our culture (technology such as tv and movies). The American Pediatric Association actually says that children under 3yrs old should not watch tv, use a computer, etc. But how many parents know this or follow that? In ancient times, humans didn't live past the age of 35 when their eyesight may have still been perfect or close to it. Now we are living much longer with all this technology literally in our faces. So its a big change and our eyes are muscles and they need to adjust to the change.

Not at all. All you need is a trip to the optician.

Good luck!
