I am sorry I just cannot agree that this is so cut and dried--Malingering is acting sick to get attention or for some gain , Muchausen's syndrome is getting examined by doctors for attention even so far as getting unnecessary surgery, Is type A behavior even a disorder? Factitious disorder is also acting sick but usually mentally, not physically. Somatoform disorders have to do with a mistaken assumption of sickness or disproportion of the body, or even hallucinations involving the body. Dissociative disorders are mental illnesses involving identity and personality. Was there some reading for this?
