combining sound output from computer with tv special jack leads?

i have a tv that is linked to my hi-fi so that my sound is played through my hi-fi speakers (i am presuming they are 3.5mm mini jacks). i have now bought a computer and want to link that through to my hi-fi speakers as well. i know that i can buy 3.5mm mini jack leads that can link my computer to my hi-fi but is there anything available that enables me to link both the tv as well as the computer to the hi-fi simultaneously as i would rather not have to constantly change which mini jack is plugged into the hi-fi? maybe some kind of mini-jack hub of some kind?
cheers

is there any way to do it without having to buy an amplifier, that would be closer in price to buying some mini jacks on ebay for £1.80? dont really want to be spending more than 20ish quid. cheers

oh of course, i see what you mean. unfortunately there are only one set (left and right) of mini jack plug inputs. it is the video one. can i buy an adapter to link up multiple sets? cheers

Typically, stereo/home theatre amplifiers have multiple inputs to allow you to connect CD, DVD player, and Tape inputs without connecting and disconnecting wires all the time. Input levels for all of these are more or less the same, so you could connect computer or TV audio outputs to one of the empty inputs. If you don't have multiple inputs on your amp, or they're all occupied, an external switch (see link) should do the trick.

edit: Hifi = amplifier , unless you have some strange piece of equipment I'm not familiar with.
