In romote and rural China, is the cost of living very low ,for eample like RMB 100 Yuan also consider very big?

The cost of living in a given area generally reflects the income level in the same area. The lower the income, the lower the cost of living. The higher the income the higher the cost of living.

I live in the largest city in my northwestern province and 100 yuan could easily feed one of my students for ten days. That's if they don't eat any meat! Eight days if they buy any meat.

In some of the rural areas around me, 100 yuan will stretch even further. An individual might patch and repair clothes for years without buying new clothing.

Healthcare is a big concern for people as the cost is increasingly unaffordable for the rural poor. Many areas don't have hospitals and if someone has a serious accident, then they are likely to have long-term (if not fatal) results.



The cost of living isn't really that significantly less.

there are 100 USD a set dinner, and also a quarter USD a meal. 100 RMB isn't very big now a days.
