從前我認識的爸爸表面上是一個大男人,但我知道他心裡面是一個很愛家庭而有青責任感的人.在處事方面,爸爸是十分積極而追求完美的.他絕對是我的學習榜樣.在家庭方面,他表面上總是對我和妹妹的事情表現得漠不關心.但他私下會向媽媽了解我和妹妹的動向,記得我在middle school的時候我一位最要好的朋友因為成受不了家庭和學業上的壓力想不通而自殺,那時候我真的很自責和失落,因為我幚不了我的好朋友,那一陣子我做什麼事都提不起勁.然而在某一個晚上,我看見書桌上有一張爸爸寫給我的紙條,紙條上面只有一句.說話’’無論發生什麼事情爸媽永遠都在你身邊支持你的”,雖然只是一句簡簡單單的說話,但足以令我感動落淚. ,失去一位朋友是一件不愉快的事情,但它讓我清楚知道雖要珍惜生活在身邊對你好的人而不是意志消沉,不能因為我而令他們憂心,所以很快我便回復起來.經過這次經歷讓我發現到平時對我和妹妹表現冷淡什麼都要我們服從他說話的爸爸,原來是那麼關心自己的,只是他平常不會表達出來.但可惜的是這一個爸爸現在消失了.

My dad might look like a male chauvinist, yet deep inside, he was a responsible man who loved his family very much.

At work, he strove for perfection in everything he did, which made him my role model. At home, he did not seem to care much about me and my sister, but would regularly try to understand what we were doing through my mother.

When I was in high school, my best friend committed a suicide as a result of family and school pressure. I was totally lost in self-blaming for not being able to help my best friend. In the abyss of my depression, I found a note from my father, saying "No matter whatever may happen, mom and dad are always there for you!" Such a simple line touched my heart deeply and drove me into tears at once.

Losing a friend this way is sad, but it made me realize that I should treasure those who loved me instead of worrying them by indulging myself in grief. Soon, I was recovered.

Although my dad had appeared to be not so caring and only interested in my obedience, that little note revealed how much he loved me.

Sadly, the dad I used to know has gone!
