Multiply the 3 by 10, then add 6. Divide the whole thing by what's on the bottom, 10. Always do this step with mixed fractions.
=36/10
You don't need a calculator at this point. Use scientific notation by placing one decimal to the left of 36.
36.0
Therefore, it is 3.6

Extra: If you were multiplying 36x10=360
you would move the decimal one place to the right.
36.0 x 10= 360

your mixed fraction has a denominator of '10'
decimals deal in tenths.

you have a full three, so it's going to be

3.something

you have 6/10; multiply top and bottom by 10

you have 60/100

hence 3.60

or 3.6

divide 6 by 10, you get 0.6, you have a 3 in front of the 6/10, so it would be 3.6

3 6/10
= 3 + 6/10
= 3 + 6 ÷ 10
= 3 + 0.6
= 3.6

Well there is an easy way
something is divided by 10 100 1000 you move the decimal place from the right to the left of how much zeros there are for example
36/10 is 3.6 because 36.00/10 and in 10 there is only one zero therefore you move the decimal place from right to left on space.

solve the division and add the 3!! ;)

indeed the answer is 3 + 0.6666...=3.666...
