CHEERS and THANKYOU

I think the usage of "thank you" is very straightforward and you should have no problem in it.

In U.K., the word "cheers" could be used to mean "thank you" or "goodbye", but it is not a common usage in every part of U.K.

e.g. In "Cheers, you've been a big help!", "cheers" means "thank you".

Nowadays, people tend use informal salutation in emails (not formal correspondence) like "Hi". Terms like "Cheers" is one of closings that people like to use.

Cheers= 乾杯
Thank you= 多謝

We use "cheers" when drinking liquilds in a baquet.
We use "thank you" when getting mercy from people.
